Hyundai Auto Georgia has become a partner of the Goju-Ryu Karate Federation

A partnership has begun between “Hyundai Auto Georgia” and the Federation of Japanese martial art, Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karatedo. Within the framework of this partnership, “Hyundai Auto Georgia” will sponsor Georgian athletes competing in the Goju-Ryu World Championship. Simultaneously, the company will finance the construction of an academy for martial arts in Tbilisi.

The Goju-Ryu World Championship is being held on May 11-12 of this year in Szczecin, Poland. Nine Georgians are participating. The youngest is 10 years old, while the oldest is 25.

The history of the famous Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate in Georgia began in 1990. Globally, the federation unites up to 1000 champions, including Georgian athletes. Sponsoring Goju-Ryu is Hyundai Auto Georgia’s first step in the direction of Eastern martial arts. It will promote a company’s essential priorities – proper values and a healthy lifestyle among children and youth.
